On January 23rd of 2020, Orient Group's 2019 year-end summary and commendation conference was grandly held in the banquet hall on the fourth floor of Orient International Trade. Chairman Liu Guomin made an important speech, and General Manager Jian Hui made a summary of work in 2019 and a report on tasks in 2020.
The chairman said that in the past year, most units have achieved good results. The real estate development is methodical, the sales progress is steadily advancing, and the building construction is scientific and orderly. Each subsidiary has also overcome various difficulties in their respective fields and made certain breakthroughs; At the same time, new improvements have also been made in management level, service awareness, professional quality, as well as risk management and control. The chairman emphasized that despite our achievements, there are still some issues and weak links that cannot be ignored in the process of operation and development. Firstly is that a few managers lack the historical view of development with surplus enjoyments and insufficient motivations, cannot view development and problems from long-term perspective, macro level, and overall position. They are prone to set limits by themselves and dare not break through; Secondly is that the professional standards of some cadres needs to be improved. Due to practical reasons and the needs of enterprise development, the company has handed over some important positions and responsibilities to some colleagues whose professional standards need to be improved, which is based on the trust to you. I hope you can stand the test, mature rapidly and play valuable role in the positions as soon as possible. You must not be mediocre and betray the Group's expectations and your youth; Thirdly is that some cadres lack passion and undertaking responsibilities. When encountering problems, the first thing they think about is not to actively seek solutions, but to evade and shirk; When faced with the formulation of goals and tasks, the first things they think about are difficulties and risks, instead of opportunities and challenges. The essences of Orient Group's corporate culture for more than two decades are endeavor and commitment. I hope everyone can keep in mind; Fourthly is that the strength of innovation practice is not enough.
The chairman said that 2020 has extraordinary significances, which is the last year of the 13th Five-Year Plan of China and the completion year of building a moderately prosperous society, as well as a longing year with hope. All of our cadres and employees must work together to grasp the great opportunities for development, steadily advance various tasks, and advocate the enterprise of Orient to a new height. At the meeting, the chairman proposed the goal of "striving for thousands of days, acting your glorious youth --for the Group's 30th anniversary". He said that in the New Year, we still need to take "improving benefits" as the core, not only to improve economic benefits, but also to enhance brand benefits. At the same time, we must observe the situation, take the "big real estate strategy" as the guidance, optimize the real estate upstream and downstream industrial structure, so as to build an industrial system with basis of building construction, core of real estate development, and guarantee of various related service industries, which can further consolidate and highlight the local advantages. Furthermore, we must optimize the industrial layout and positively cultivate new growth points with the combination of the existing resource structure of the Group; In terms of reform and innovation, optimizing services and preventing risks, we still need to pay close attention to implementation and make steady progress to ensure the safe operation and healthy development of the Group; We must strive to make the development speed, development quality and development benefits of the Group towards a higher level.
General Manager Jian Hui comprehensively summarized the completion of various tasks of the Group in 2019 in the report. He said that this year, under the leadership of the chairman and the group, all units have seriously implemented the spirit of the oath-taking rally held by the group at the beginning of the year, have been closely adhered to the core of " improving benefits ", and have been abided by the keynote of "strengthening the main business, optimizing services and preventing risks". Faced with difficulties, we were bold enough to solve and innovated with gumption, and opened up a new situation that we have made good achievements in various work in 2019.
Although some achievements have been made, there were still some problems and deficiencies. The main performances were as follows: Firstly was that some subsidiaries failed to complete the task indicators issued at the beginning of the year; Secondly was that some units cannot fulfill their responsibilities well, and their business and management capabilities needed to be improved. They lacked the spirit of responsibility, and the implementation of management regulations was not in place; Thirdly was that the Group's efforts of receivables needed to be strengthened. These problems and deficiencies had both external objective reasons and internal contrived subjective factors. So that we needed to take them seriously and took effective measures in 2020 to practically overcome them. At the meeting, the General Manager also emphasized the following contents: Firstly was to ask Yongcheng Construction Company to enhance its outreach business; Secondly was to request the Human Resources Department to strengthen the supervision of the study in various sections and departments of the Group; Thirdly was to commend a batch of employees who have served the group for a long time.
The General Manager reported the target tasks of each unit of the Group in 2020. He said that the overall goal of the Group in 2020 has been determined. All units should seriously resolve existing problems and weak links on the basis of summing up experience and lessons, and meet new challenges with a new mental outlook and greater work enthusiasm. He hoped that all cadres and employees can always abide by senses of opportunity and crisis, scientifically judge favorable conditions and unfavorable factors, unify their thinking, and energize their spirits, so that they can be united to be bold in challenge. I firmly believe that under the leadership of the chairman and the Group’s board, we will be definitely able to complete all the indicators and tasks throughout the year through our hard work and carving out, and the Orient Group will be more brilliant tomorrow!
At the meeting, the General Manager of the Group announced the appointment of some personnel in 2020, and the Executive Deputy General Manager Wang Jibai announced the Group's decision to commend the advanced units and advanced employees in 2019. Wang Yuanxin and Liu Lei, Vice-General Managers of the Group, and 260 employees’ representatives of the Group attended the meeting, which was presided over by Liu Qiang, Secretary of the General Party Branch.
